What do you enjoy about Sales at Groupon?
I like that Sales is competitive and that there’s always a new goal to be reached. Sales is in your control; this is the job for those who are hardworking. There’s really no ceiling and it’s all about your performance and how hard you want to work.
What do you attribute to your success here?
I’ve been extremely lucky to have had great managers every time I’ve been promoted or moved to another market. Also, the training team is really helpful. They don’t just stop training you when you’ve gone through all their processes; I continually reach out to them to have them shadow me, listen to my calls, give me constructive feedback, etc.
Similar to the creation of the word “Groupon,” what two animals would you pick to create a new animal? E.g.: dirds
I like birds—I want something that flies and something that’s aggressive. What would a cheetah bird be? A beetah? A chird? A chird.
So…sell me a chird.
I was out in the jungle (I don’t know why) and the most amazing thing happened. I saw the most amazing creature you will ever see. It’s a chird. You’re probably wondering what a chird is – I’m going to tell you. It’s a cheetah-bird. You know why this animal is the best thing on earth? It’s because cheetahs are the fastest thing in the jungle – and when its legs tire out, it can fly! How many times will you encounter a animal that can both out-run and out-fly you?
